Kaylah joined the firm in May of 2021 and is the firm’s Law Clerk. Kaylah plays a central role in assisting litigation paralegal, Jan Grdnich, in identifying controlling case law within the Law Office’s motions. She also assists in retrieving certified medical records during the course of trial preparation. In addition, she assists with the management of the client family database. She attended San Diego State University in San Diego, California, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with an emphasis in Political Science, Sociology, & Africana Studies (2020). She is currently a second-year law student at Southern University Law Center, where she is pursuing her Juris Doctorate. While being a full-time law student, Kaylah is heavily involved on campus in the Student Body Association’s (SBA) Constitution Committee and serves as a Student Ambassador for the Law Center. She is originally from Los Angeles, California, and has thoroughly enjoyed her time in Louisiana so far, especially the food! Her favorite thing about firm is the fact that she is always learning something new about the practice of law and the relationships she’s built with her co-workers. After work, when she is not studying, Kaylah enjoys relaxing with friends, traveling, trying new restaurants, and binge watching a good show.
